The governor’s office announced nearly $17.5 million in awards through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity’s (DEO) Rebuild Florida Hazard Mitigation Grant Match Program on on Tuesday. The program funds the local community’s match portion of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) awards to support recovery efforts in communities impacted by Hurricane Michael.
